You can take your work and leave
That is an odd thing for a software company to advertise, so here it is plainly: everything you build in DealWise exports as a spreadsheet, and if you stop paying you can still take it.
The alternative — making the model difficult to get out — is a way of keeping customers who would otherwise leave. It works, and it is an admission. We would rather compete on whether the product is good at underwriting.
It is also just how the work goes. Deals get shared with lenders, partners and equity, most of whom have their own systems and none of whom are going to sign up for yours to read your numbers.
One honest limit: these are spreadsheets, not ARGUS files. If a counterparty requires an ARGUS model, that is a real reason to use ARGUS for that deal, and we say so on the comparison page too.

What can I download?

Are the formulas intact or is it just values?
The cash flow exports as a working spreadsheet rather than a flat dump of results. The person who asks for your model expects to be able to change a cell and see what happens, and a grid of frozen numbers does not answer that.
Can I import into ARGUS?
No. The exports are spreadsheets, and we are not going to claim an ARGUS-compatible format we do not produce. If your counterparty requires an ARGUS file, that is a genuine reason to use ARGUS for that deal.
Is export limited on the free plan?
The free plan gives you one complete deal, modelled the same way a paid one is, and you can download it. The limit is the number of deals, not what you are allowed to do with the one you have.
What happens to my data if I stop paying?
You can export it. That is the point of this page — everything you built is yours as a spreadsheet, and leaving does not mean losing the work. A product that only holds your model hostage is not competing on being good.
